Festive runs for a good "claus"

Three weeks ago, I was out running and decided I wanted to do something to commit me to get out and run more because I love it when I am out but I struggle to leave my warm cosy sofa or bed! I also wanted to use my love for running to help a worthy cause in the run up to Christmas. I therefore set myself a festive challenge!!

I have decided to run 10K everyday over the Christmas advent and raise as much money as possible for Martin House Children's hospice.

Martin House Children's Hospice provides family led care for children with life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses. It is a place where children, young people and their families can come to stay from time to time along their journey and find support, rest and practical help. It is impossible to imagine what it would be like to be in this position with your family at Christmas or any time of year. Martin House is a place of love and understanding, a peaceful place but one that can also have a lively, friendly atmosphere full of fun and laughter, where children and their families can enjoy the best quality of life.
Martin House relies almost entirely on donations and fundraising to raise over £4 million a year to provide vital care and support for so many local children and their families.
I am therefore running everyday for a very worthy cause from 1st December to 24th December with my final 10km run at midnight on xmas eve/xmas day in a Father Christmas costume!!  If you either think I am crazy or would like to support the charity then please sponsor me at www.virginmoneygiving.com/dianechapman
As an extra incentive, I have been donated some great prizes from local businesses to help increase my sponsors. If you sponsor me over £5 an guess my overall finishing time, you will have the chance of winning a photograph studio voucher, a £30 voucher for Chiquito's or a £20 voucher from an Italian Restaurant or 2 tickets to the showcase.
Any donations or support welcome to help me along the way.
